Role Overview:

  • This role presents a distinctive opportunity to play a vital part in a significant national transportation project by managing organizational transitions within a large-scale fleet renewal initiative. The Project Manager for Organizational Change Management (OCM) will supervise moderately complex projects or essential components of a broader program.
  • Utilizing their technical expertise and OCM experience, the individual will coordinate change management activities under the direction of a senior-level Program or Portfolio Manager.
  • The responsibilities include formulating and sustaining change management strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, and communication frameworks to facilitate the effective execution of organizational changes throughout the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement change management methodologies to support organizational transformation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive change management strategy throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Design and execute thorough communication strategies utilizing various channels.
  • Effectively communicate messages to diverse audiences and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coordinate deliverables in alignment with the communications strategy and craft clear messaging.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and communicate the effects of decisions and changes within assigned projects and across the broader program.
  • Establish and nurture effective relationships with internal and external resources and key project stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain essential change management documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Expertise in organizational change management with relevant experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on collaboration, team building, presentations, and customer service.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of professional management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience in project management.
  • Familiarity with railroad systems and practices.
