Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Control Oversight: Monitor potential project alterations, evaluate their effects on budget and timeline, and communicate these changes effectively to stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders, ensuring that the implications of decisions are well understood and managed.
  • Management Tools Maintenance: Keep all project management tools updated to reflect the current status and ensure accessibility for relevant parties.
  • Resource Coordination: Manage internal resources and external vendors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project execution.
  • Project Scope Definition: Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements clearly.
  • Resource Acquisition: Work with various departments to secure necessary resources and funding for project success.
  • Project Scheduling: Regularly update project schedules and provide progress reports to keep all stakeholders informed.
  • Dependency Management: Identify and manage interdependencies to prevent conflicts and delays.
  • Relationship Development: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor their resolution.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain all required project documentation in line with organizational standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on teamwork and customer service.
  • Experience in cross-functional team environments and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in project change management.
  • Familiarity with railroad systems and terminology.
