The role of the Executive Consultant-Facilitator, Strategist, and Meeting Design Expert encompasses providing specialized meeting design, consulting expertise, analytical support, and coordination to facilitate transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess experience in strategic planning, organizational change management, and effective meeting facilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering thought leadership and expert meeting design to propel interagency change initiatives and tackle complex, far-reaching issues related to natural disasters.
  • Taking a leading role in engaging clients, delivering impactful presentations, facilitating workshops, and assisting teams in resolving challenges.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive view of all meetings and their interrelations to ensure that outcomes contribute to overarching goals of disaster resilience and mitigation.
  • Regularly meeting with clients and senior leaders to grasp the objectives, intentions, and desired outcomes for workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagement events.
  • Strategically managing risks, translating strategies into actionable plans, and contributing to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Designing and implementing organizational change management strategies focused on stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Coordinating meeting-related tasks and ensuring work products meet client specifications.
  • Taking charge of developing process agendas, including meeting timelines and speaking notes for presenters.
  • Creating content and presentation materials for speakers.
  • Managing logistics for meetings, including participant agendas, invitations, venue reservations, and meeting summaries.
  • Collaborating with clients and key stakeholders to ensure timely completion of action items.
  • Tracking action items for internal project teams and leadership groups.
  • Maintaining the SharePoint repository for project documentation.
  • Developing communication materials to inform and engage stakeholders.
  • Drafting conclusions and recommendations, preparing reports, and assisting with presentations.
  • Coordinating the creation of communications for senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Providing mentorship and coaching to team members as appropriate.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field such as Public Relations, Communication, Business, or Organizational Leadership.
  • IAF certification is required or in progress.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in a related field, particularly in meeting facilitation for federal clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $200,000 annually. This range serves as a general guideline, as SRE considers various factors in compensation decisions, including skills, experience, and organizational needs.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily based in the Washington D.C. Metro area, with potential for remote work arrangements, subject to approval.
