Job Summary

A Business Development Manager at WaFd Bank is responsible for developing a business plan to maintain and grow existing relationships and is responsible for developing new relationships that meet our client selectivity and risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business plans to grow existing relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Partner with commercial banking colleagues to deliver credit relationships and work closely with Treasury Management Officers to grow and service non-credit needs of commercial clients.
  • Develop and manage commercial relationships that meet established lending and client selectivity requirements and provide maximum profitability to the Bank with a minimum of risk.
  • Collaborate with Credit Administration, Senior Relationship Manager, Division Manager, or Director to ensure alignment with Bank's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or approved equivalent in finance, accounting, or real estate analysis, or equivalent training in commercial banking.
  • Negotiating experience, accuracy, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and success working with clients with diverse banking needs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with experience with LaserPro (CFI) desired.
