About the Role

Pacificorp is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice and counsel to management and client organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Promote a customer-first culture and deliver outstanding results for customers.
  • Information Gathering and Analysis: Gather and analyze critical information from various sources to inform business decisions.
  • Business Process Improvement: Analyze business processes, conduct special studies, develop alternatives, and present recommendations to management.
  • Long-Range Planning: Identify and recommend long-range asset data management and system improvements to balance risk and reward.
  • Program Development: Develop and approve long-range programs for assets, and implement optimum life cycle and companion costs models.
  • Financial Management: Manage the budget process to ensure stakeholders' needs are met, and report complex financial information in simple terms.
  • Expertise and Communication: Act as an expert on maintaining financial integrity of the FERC data, and communicate effectively throughout the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience in an applicable field directly related to position responsibilities.
  • Skills: Program design skills, advanced communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with personal computers to gather, analyze, and summarize data.
  • Leadership: Project management and leadership skills, including the ability to work as a team member, maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliver on commitments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Utility Operations Experience: Previous experience in a financial role within the utility operations industry.
  • Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory or lead experience is desired.
  • Client and Vendor Relationships: Ability to manage client and vendor relationships.
