Key Responsibilities

As a House Supervisor, your role will encompass the monitoring and coordination of hospital operations across departments. You will oversee nursing performance and patient care activities during your assigned shift.

  • Act as the primary authority in the absence of nursing management.
  • Direct staff effectively during emergency situations.
  • Assess staffing needs based on patient census and acuity.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a Clinical Resource for complex patient care issues and assist staff in clinical decision-making.
  • Manage patient admission and discharge processes to promote efficient care delivery.
  • Model and promote exceptional patient experiences, holding staff accountable for high standards.
  • Collaborate with management to optimize staff productivity and resource utilization while achieving quality care and financial goals.
Qualifications

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a management capacity, and at least 1 year as a House Supervisor.

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Completion of or active pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas or Compact RN license.
  • BLS certification as per facility policy.
  • ACLS certification as per facility policy.
