Role Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the operational functions of the hospital. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary authority in the absence of nursing management.
- Directing staff effectively during emergency situations.
- Assessing staffing needs based on patient census and acuity.
- Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Serving as a clinical resource for complex patient care issues.
- Managing patient admission and discharge processes to enhance care efficiency.
- Promoting and maintaining exceptional patient experiences.
- Collaborating with management to optimize staff productivity and resource utilization.
Qualifications Required
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years in clinical practice, with at least 3 years in a management capacity, and 1 year as a House Supervisor.
Education:
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Completion or active pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or Compact RN license.
- BLS certification as per organizational policy.
- ACLS certification as per organizational policy.
