Job Overview

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse House Supervisor to oversee the operational aspects of nursing care within our facility. This role is essential in ensuring that our patients receive high-quality, efficient healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate the functioning of nursing departments across the hospital.
  • Provide direction and supervision to nursing staff during shifts.
  • Assess staffing needs based on patient census and acuity levels.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Act as a clinical resource for complex patient care issues.
  • Manage patient admission and discharge processes to optimize care delivery.
  • Promote a culture of exceptional patient experience and accountability among staff.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure effective resource utilization and productivity.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in clinical nursing practice, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a House Supervisor.

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or actively pursuing.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or Compact RN license.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications as per facility policy.
