Job Summary and Qualifications
The Supervisor ensures exceptional, patient-focused care through oversight of daily operations and staffing within the unit/department.

The Supervisor monitors and assesses nursing care delivery in alignment with established protocols and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes to meet facility objectives.

Participates in implementing patient-specific care standards and adheres to service excellence standards to guarantee high levels of patient satisfaction.

You will contribute to establishing a superior clinical identity by applying evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensure compliance with care standards.
You will support initiatives to minimize variations in clinical practice while improving efficiency, effectiveness, and cost management. Foster a culture of accountability and transparency in care delivery.
You will aid in achieving internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
You will ensure that equipment maintenance is conducted regularly and in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
You will manage patient admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
You will facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination across departments. Ensure that staff with the necessary clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care requirements.
You will provide leadership in achieving and maintaining an exceptional patient experience. Instill accountability for delivering consistent, positive patient interactions that distinguish the organization as a leader in healthcare.
You will review various feedback mechanisms to identify opportunities for enhancing customer/patient satisfaction. Support the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient experience.
You will leverage feedback mechanisms to benchmark performance and identify areas for improvement in patient satisfaction.
You will ensure adherence to evidence-based practices that enhance patient experience and customer service.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts and other leaders to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.

You will identify training needs and development opportunities for individual employees and teams.

Qualifications Required:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Bachelor's Degree.

St. David's North Austin Medical Center
