Role Summary and Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all unit functions during assigned shifts. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing practices in line with established protocols, serving as a resource for staff and exemplifying the organization's values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates admission and discharge processes to optimize patient flow and ensure high-quality care.
  • Engages in ongoing assessments of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
  • Works with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
  • Embraces a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery as needed.
  • Implements nursing strategies to enhance staff engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Participates in the recruitment, training, and development of new staff members.
  • Manages staff scheduling and labor resources in accordance with patient care needs.
  • Oversees inventory control and assists in managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications Required:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
