Position Overview

The Overnight Financial Coordinator is responsible for executing end-of-day procedures, which include posting charges to guest accounts, performing night audit backups, and rolling the date. This role requires processing various payment methods, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
  • Generate contingency lists to maintain a record of all guests for emergency situations.
  • Sell accommodations to guests without prior reservations based on availability.
  • Operate the telephone switchboard, manage wake-up call requests, and relay messages to guests.
  • Complete the Room Rate Variance Report and manage guest check-ins while assigning rooms.
  • Activate or reissue room keys using electronic key systems.
  • Conduct end-of-shift bank counts and secure financial assets.
  • Balance and drop receipts in accordance with accounting guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and materials.

Safety and Compliance
Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a professional appearance and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Protect company assets and uphold quality assurance standards.

Guest Relations
Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards. Anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation to guests.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance. The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Experience: Less than one year of related experience.
Supervisory Experience: None required.
License or Certification: None necessary.

Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 per hour, with benefits including healthcare options, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, life insurance, and disability coverage. Eligibility for benefits may vary based on company policies.
