Position Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for performing essential end-of-day tasks, including posting charges to accounts, executing night audit backups, and rolling the date. This role involves processing various payment methods such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit, as well as handling adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.

Key Responsibilities
1. Print contingency lists to maintain a record of all guests for emergency situations.
2. Sell accommodations to guests without prior reservations based on availability.
3. Operate the telephone switchboard, manage wake-up call requests, and inform guests of any messages.
4. Complete the Room Rate Variance Report and manage guest check-ins while assigning rooms.
5. Activate or reissue room keys using the electronic key machine and secure the bank at the end of the shift.

Financial Management
Ensure accurate balancing and dropping of receipts according to accounting specifications. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas, ensuring cleanliness and presentation of all materials prior to use.

Safety and Compliance
Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.

Guest Relations
Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs. Assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation to guests.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Experience: Less than 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: None required.
License or Certification: None necessary.

Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including health care benefits, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, life insurance, and disability coverage.
