Job Summary

Museum Associates seeks a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Annual Giving to oversee the museum's annual giving program and lead the development of strategic plans to grow the supporter base and increase contributions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Strategy and Development
    • Develop and implement annual giving program strategies to increase donor engagement and contributions
    • Oversee the development of direct mail and online giving solicitations to grow the supporter base
  • Leadership and Management
    • Manage a team of staff to oversee the administration of the annual giving program, including Curator's Circle and other groups
    • Provide oversight and guidance to staff on fundraising strategies and tactics
  • Donor Engagement and Stewardship
    • Develop and implement strategies to cultivate and steward donors, including regular communication and recognition
    • Work with staff to establish a calendar of cultivation and stewardship activities for annual giving program patrons
  • Collaboration and Partnerships
    • Collaborate with the broader Individual Giving team to strategize recognition and stewardship across all gift levels
    • Work closely with curators, volunteers, membership staff, and other departments to move potential annual giving constituents into the program
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Track and analyze performance of annual giving campaigns and appeals to refine segmentation strategies
    • Monitor income reports and expense budgets for the Annual Giving Programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of experience with non-profit fundraising, including experience in annual funds, individual giving, patron groups, and membership
  • Experience using Tessitura is required
  • 2-3 years of management experience
  • Knowledge of Art History is preferred
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Benefits
  • The expected annual salary for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00, subject to change, and the position is eligible for Museum Associates' comprehensive benefits package, including pension plan
