Job Summary

The Posse Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our development team, the Development Director will be responsible for leading our fundraising efforts, developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve annual revenue goals, and cultivating relationships with major donors and corporate partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Fundraising: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual revenue goals, including identifying and pursuing major gift opportunities, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants.
  • Donor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and foundation representatives to ensure ongoing support and engagement.
  • Grant Writing and Research: Conduct research and write grant proposals to secure funding from foundations and corporate partners.
  • Event Planning: Collaborate with the site director and national development team to plan and execute fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and other special events.
  • Team Management: Supervise and support the development officer/associate in their fundraising efforts and provide guidance and coaching as needed.
Requirements
  • Seven years minimum of work experience as a development professional.
  • Motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Willingness to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grant writing and public speaking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated belief in The Posse Foundation's mission and values.
