This role will play a critical part in solidifying the organization's growth trajectory by enhancing the operational efficiency of the Development team.
Key Responsibilities- Department Operations
- Develop and implement strategic plans for department operations, including team dashboards, benchmarks, KPIs, and progress toward strategic plan goals.
- Oversee gift processing and donor services, ensuring timely and accurate acknowledgments and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage department timelines for campaigns, events, cross-department operations, team meetings, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate the Development and Finance departments to ensure seamless financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Annual Giving
- Develop an annual plan for scaled income streams, including strategy, goal tracking, and team workplans.
- Manage campaign coordination with the Communications team, including strategy, timelines, production, and reporting.
- Lead digital fundraising and stewardship efforts with the Communications team, including regular analytics reviews, testing, acquisition, and visibility tracking.
- Develop pipeline strategies, processes, and tools to manage prospects and increase support, coordinating with the Major Gifts Officer.
- Implement special projects to increase the organization's visibility and build a donor base, such as affiliate groups and third-party validator websites.
- Provide regular reporting on budget benchmarks and cash flow.
- Develop analytics and content for performance reports to leadership and the Board of Directors, including benchmarking to industry standards.
- Forecast income and develop data-informed growth strategies for future years.
- Staff Supervision and Administration
- Supervise two team members: Development Operations Supervisor (database specialist) and Coordinator.
- Manage contract administration and ongoing learning for process improvements that incorporate best practices and inspire team performance.
- Participate in organization-wide initiatives as needed.
