Job Summary

This role will play a critical part in solidifying the organization's growth trajectory by enhancing the operational efficiency of the Development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Operations
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve team performance and efficiency
    • Manage gift processing and donor services, ensuring timely and accurate acknowledgments and compliance
    • Coordinate department timelines for campaigns, events, and cross-department operations
    • Oversee department database and technology, including CRM, donation processing, and additional campaign tools
    • Provide financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance, coordinating with the Finance department
    • Track department deliverables, including fulfillment, partner benefits, and key statistics
  • Annual Giving
    • Develop an annual plan for scaled income streams, including strategy, goal tracking, and team workplans
    • Manage campaign coordination with the Communications team, including strategy, timelines, production, and reporting
    • Lead digital fundraising and stewardship efforts with the Communications team, including regular analytics reviews, testing, acquisition, and visibility tracking
    • Develop pipeline strategies, processes, and tools to manage prospects and increase support, coordinating with the Major Gifts Officer
    • Implement special projects to increase the organization's visibility and build a donor base, such as affiliate groups and third-party validator websites
    • Provide regular reporting on budget benchmarks and cash flow
    • Develop analytics and content for performance reports to leadership and the Board of Directors, including benchmarking to industry standards
    • Forecast income and develop data-informed growth strategies for future years
  • Staff Supervision and Administration
    • Supervise two team members: Development Operations Supervisor and Coordinator
    • Manage contract administration
    • Oversee ongoing learning and process improvements that incorporate best practices and inspire team performance
    • Participate in organization-wide initiatives as needed
