Position: Advocate and Fundraiser for Animal Rights
Every minute, an animal suffers from abuse, and in the United States alone, millions face cruelty annually. The need for advocacy and support is critical.
About Us: Threshold Giving is committed to creating a more humane world by empowering organizations dedicated to animal welfare. Our mission involves advocating for legislative changes, corporate responsibility, and educating the public while rescuing animals from dire situations.
Role Summary: We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our fundraising team. The successful candidate will engage with potential supporters, sharing our mission to combat animal cruelty through community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate meaningful conversations within the community about the importance of animal rights.
- Promote our nonprofit partners and provide clear information to potential donors.
- Achieve and surpass established fundraising goals.
- Maintain detailed records of interactions and reporting.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Experience in sales or customer service is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and a robust work ethic.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Capability to transport materials as required.
- Possession of a reliable vehicle and insurance is necessary.
- Willingness to engage in numerous conversations daily.
Compensation and Benefits:
Advocates will receive a competitive hourly wage of $25, along with uncapped fundraising bonuses. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including access to professional counseling, legal and financial services, insurance after 90 days, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
