Position Overview:

Join ENERCON as a Lead Power Systems Engineer where you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, assess designs, and promote technical excellence. This role provides the chance to work within an innovative group to spearhead and design electrical systems at energy-generating facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Our Energy Group is currently looking for a Lead Power Systems Engineer.

  • Coordinate effectively with various engineering disciplines involved in projects.
  • Engage in the review and validation of designs, drawings, and data produced by peers or subcontractors.
  • Develop design studies and project scopes.
  • Provide informed recommendations based on extensive knowledge and experience.
  • Oversee routine and advanced technical tasks performed by team members on assigned projects, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality for designated work assignments with minimal oversight.
  • Prepare specifications for electrical equipment procurement and installation, and evaluate technical bids for equipment selection.
  • Innovate solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Possess a broad understanding of industry precedents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of 7 years of experience in power system design.
  • Experience with SKM and/or ETAP software.
  • Knowledge in protection and controls.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and criteria relevant to power systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • Willingness to travel for field installation, checkout, and start-up activities.
  • Physical capability to navigate stairs or ladders at client sites.
  • Preferred experience with lighting studies, lightning protection, and grounding design.
