Position Overview: Senior Electrical Engineer - Steam Turbine Generator Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and uphold electrical maintenance strategies for assets within the North American business unit, aiding site personnel in their implementation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to formulate asset strategies, ensuring consistency across sites while sharing best practices and insights.
  • Execute and monitor asset strategies, refining them based on performance outcomes.
  • Oversee power system studies across North American business sites, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70E standards.
  • Identify and track deficiencies revealed in power system studies, working with sites to resolve these issues.
  • Update power system models as necessary.
  • Formulate and apply a maintenance strategy for steam turbine generators across the North American business unit.
  • Assist sites in diagnosing root causes of turbine generator failures and share effective practices across the North American operations.
  • Coordinate contributions to the electrical asset health register for the North American business unit.
  • Provide prioritized asset assessments to support the five-year capital planning process.
  • Engage in the review and enhancement of electrical design standards across the North American phosphates business unit.
  • Ensure regular reviews of standards and effective communication of updates.
  • Evaluate capital electrical projects for compliance with Mosaic and industry best practices.
  • Support sites in root cause investigations for significant electrical failures.

Major Assignments Include:

  • Protection and control of electrical equipment, covering a range from final utilization voltage (480/600V) to high voltage (15/34.5/69/72/115/138/230kV).
  • Minor updates to power system models (Easy Power).
  • Input on electrical equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Contributions to steam turbine generator maintenance strategies (
