We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Power Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis, a leading design and engineering consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to Solar Utility and Utility Scale Engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct engineering tasks for Utility Scale PV solar plant designs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Provide support for design, construction, and commissioning processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Optimize layouts for Utility Scale PV plants, leveraging expertise in ACAD and cable designs to minimize costs and maximize output.
  • Prepare documentation for Pile GPS locations, ensuring accurate and reliable data for project stakeholders.
  • Create AC/DC schematics for Collection System, applying knowledge of electrical engineering principles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Oversee commissioning activities for Utility Scale PV Plants, ensuring smooth transition from construction to operation.

Requirements

  • Electrical Engineer background preferred, with a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Junior candidates require a minimum of 4 years of experience in solar engineering, with a focus on Utility Scale PV design.
  • Senior Solar Engineers require 8+ years of experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in Utility Scale PV design.
  • Proficiency in ACAD for layouts and cable designs, with experience in SCADA systems for PV plants.
  • Expertise in PV Solar equipment and systems, including knowledge of PVSyst for performance ratio determination.
  • Familiarity with Substation design, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • PE license is advantageous, with a willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
