POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a talented engineer to spearhead intricate electrical hardware designs for innovative projects. This role involves ensuring that technical objectives are met and guiding fellow engineers through the design process while leading technical reviews. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully launching products into production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Electrical Engineering Architect and other principal architects to comprehend product specifications and electrical architecture design.
- Lead and support the development and execution of product architectures in compliance with relevant standards.
- Represent Jabil Design Engineering in technical discussions and meetings with clients.
- Partner with Project Managers on design quotations.
- Provide technical insights to identify and mitigate project risks affecting timelines and plans.
- Demonstrate experience in leading successful design initiatives.
- Conduct circuit/schematic design, component selection, and layout for both analog and digital embedded systems.
- Assess electronic system performance and recommend design adjustments to address malfunctions or changes in requirements.
- Review electrical engineering designs and oversee task execution schedules and quality.
- Utilize computer-aided engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks.
- Monitor product delivery quality and timelines.
- Draft and contribute to test plans and specifications.
- Design, implement, and utilize test benches.
- Test, debug, and validate designs while supporting manufacturing processes.
- Manage relationships with electronics suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and methodologies to deliver competitive and cost-effective designs.
- Collaborate with management to define potential R&D project proposals aimed at enhancing competencies.
- Consult with management and production teams to assess engineering feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure thorough documentation.
- May undertake additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in electrical hardware design.
- Background in Power Electronics, including AC/DC, DC/AC, and DC/DC power conversion, as well as grid-connected inverters.
- Experience in writing and designing specifications and test plans.
- Familiarity with electronics design, schematic capture, and simulation tools (preferably Ansys and Cadence).
- Experience with embedded systems, processor selection, various communication protocols, analog design, sensor design, low power design, audio technologies, and displays.
- Proven experience in testing, debugging, and validating designs.
- A combination of education, experience, and/or training may also be considered.
