Client Assistance Resolution Specialist

City of New York is looking for two dedicated individuals to join our team as Case Resolution Specialists.

Under the guidance of the Case Resolution Supervisor, these specialists will be responsible for examining and addressing inquiries related to case management submitted by partner organizations. This role involves investigating case actions, implementing necessary corrections, and taking appropriate measures to resolve any outstanding concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze case inquiries and perform thorough research within Agency systems
  • Communicate updates to representatives from community-based organizations
  • Assess eligibility for cash assistance, SNAP benefits, and medical services
  • Facilitate eligibility referrals for various services and benefits
  • Engage in discussions regarding eligibility criteria with community representatives
  • Authorize modifications in assistance and budgets based on verified information
  • Input client data into systems and manage processing clearances
  • Draft comprehensive reports on case actions and histories
  • Evaluate applicants for emergency assistance benefits

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • High school diploma accompanied by two years of relevant experience
  • College credits may be considered in lieu of work experience
