About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Sales and Business Development to join our team at GXO Logistics. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and leading a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement sales plans to achieve revenue growth targets, identify new business opportunities, and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Lead a High-Performing Sales Team: Manage and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets, provide coaching and development opportunities, and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and identify new opportunities.
  • Monitor and Analyze Sales Performance: Track and analyze sales metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to increase sales performance.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements
  • 20+ Years of Sales Leadership Experience: Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a strong understanding of sales strategies, tactics, and metrics.
  • Executive Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing teams, with excellent communication, coaching, and development skills.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends and opportunities, and develop strategies to drive business growth.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers, partners, and stakeholders, with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • US-Based Travel Required: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with a hybrid/remote work arrangement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding of Business Development: Experience in business development, with a strong understanding of sales strategies, tactics, and metrics.
  • Experience in Cross-Selling Products and Services: Proven ability to cross-sell products and services, with a strong understanding of customer needs and preferences.
  • Proven Success in Orchestrating New Business Development: Demonstrated ability to orchestrate new business development, with a strong understanding of sales strategies, tactics, and metrics.
  • Ability to Close Out New Business Opportunities: Proven ability to close out new business opportunities, with a strong understanding of sales strategies, tactics, and metrics.
