Your Role

Koch Industries is seeking a Head of Global Business Expansion. This position is crucial for spearheading worldwide business development initiatives aimed at significantly broadening Koch's RF/microwave product range into new and strategically relevant markets. You will play a key role in enhancing our product offerings by launching innovative products and capabilities that align with our existing portfolio. Success in this role requires close collaboration with sales, marketing, product management, and various support teams to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive global strategic business plans that target preferred markets, including but not limited to medical, instrumentation, aerospace & defense, and automatic test equipment. Utilize market research to establish a clear perspective on product line trends, technologies, pricing strategies, and investment opportunities. Employ the RF product strategy framework to enhance product marketing materials and drive execution for new customer acquisition.
  • Identify and convert a lucrative pipeline of new clients to expand beyond our established core business. Actively pursue and implement lead generation strategies, promotional activities, and engagements that foster sustainable commercialization.
  • Create pathways for success for the business development and product management teams. Drive sales and market share growth of RF products in alignment with divisional and business unit financial targets. Ensure comprehensive understanding of customer requirements for assigned programs and communicate these effectively to the team, ensuring all objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Koch RF, enhancing market presence. Oversee and manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including the development of product vision, gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, and collaborating closely with engineering and support partners to achieve success.
  • Develop strategies for new products and services aimed at extending and enhancing the lifecycle of RF product lines. Collaborate with manufacturing facilities to ensure launch commitments are met, which may involve recommending a buy and re-sell strategy with key suppliers.
  • Continue to build and leverage trusted relationships across the industry to identify potential acquisition targets. Collaborate with Business Unit and Division leaders and Corporate Development teams to facilitate acquisition execution and integration activities.
  • Foster positive employee relations, open communication, and teamwork within the department and across other locations.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional communication, influential leadership, and persuasive presentation skills.
  • Strong financial insight, problem-solving capabilities, and economic reasoning. Proven ability to utilize financial data and metrics to make strategic decisions that provide a competitive edge.
  • Experience in the RF connector sector in roles related to sales, marketing, engineering, or business development.
  • Proven experience in team supervision.
  • Familiarity with customers in targeted new markets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comprehensive understanding of the RF/microwave connector business landscape.
  • In-depth market knowledge of RF/microwave applications in Aerospace, Defense, Instrumentation, and/or Medical sectors.
  • A passion for vision creation, team building, collaboration, and a growth mindset that transcends barriers to uncover potential.
  • Proven ability to influence key decision-makers at senior organizational levels.
  • Experience in cultivating an acquisition and commercial engagement pipeline, with a solid understanding of transaction processes.
  • Background in leading acquisition integration efforts.
  • Experience in executing commercial agreements with customers and suppliers to enhance supply chain integration.
