Job Title: Office Coordinator

The Parish Receptionist is a key member of the Parishes team, providing administrative support to staff and members. Located in San Diego, CA, this role offers a unique opportunity to serve a faith-based organization while developing valuable office skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide receptionist services for the office, welcoming visitors and directing calls.
  • Operate the main PBX telephone console, facilitating clear communications and information to callers.
  • Enter data from parish registration forms, verify information, and input Sunday collection data into Parish Data System (PDS).
  • Schedule masses and events on Streamspot, gather submissions, and prepare weekly bulletins.
  • Process payments for church services, add names to the weekly Prayers of the Faithful, and translate into Spanish.

Requirements:
  • Bilingual skills are a plus, with intermediate/advanced knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Above-average communication skills, both verbal and written, are required, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Friendly and excellent people skills are essential, with a professional demeanor and efficient organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church teachings and practices is necessary, as well as sensitivity to handling difficult situations and people.

Estimated Salary: $22-$28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
