Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Clinician 2 to join our team at Marion County. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services department, you will play a critical role in providing assessment, treatment, and support to individuals and families in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families in crisis, identifying strengths and needs to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as crisis intervention services, to support individuals and families in achieving their goals.
  • Collaborate with community partners, including Salem Hospital and the Marion County Jail, to ensure seamless care coordination and support.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans, including case management and coordination of community resources.
  • Provide education and support to individuals and families on mental health and wellness, as well as crisis prevention and intervention strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in nursing or occupational therapy with a license to practice in the State of Oregon.
  • At least one year of post-master's degree experience in the behavioral health field, with a focus on crisis intervention and response.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, community partners, and individuals and families in crisis.
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates who are Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Certified Social Workers (CSW), or eligible for LCSW licensure. Qualified candidates will also be eligible for licensure supervision if hired.

Working Conditions

This is a safety-sensitive/special needs position, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of emotional intelligence and stability. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal history background check.

Benefits

Marion County offers a generous benefits package to regular employees working 50% or more of the regularly scheduled work week and their eligible dependents. Temporary employees and part-time regular employees working less than 50% of the regularly scheduled work week are not eligible for benefits.
