Job SummaryThe Crisis Support Specialist will respond to fluctuations in the Regional Crisis Line phone room, providing direct crisis services to callers. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of mental health systems, policies, and procedures, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities- Answer calls on the Regional Crisis Line, following guidance from Crisis Services Clinicians and adhering to phone room protocols and procedures.
- Provide direct crisis services to callers, utilizing clinical directives and trauma-informed guidelines.
- Monitor call queues and respond promptly to meet service and contractual metrics.
- Support phone worker volunteers in handling RCL calls, providing guidance and resources as needed.
- Participate in Performance Excellence Program to establish and pursue professional growth goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in social sciences preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of public mental health systems, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise and distraction.
