Senior Electrical Cost Estimator

We are looking for a qualified Senior Electrical Cost Estimator to enhance our C3M team. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of construction principles, encompassing General Requirements, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical aspects. Key Responsibilities:

+ Uphold exemplary standards of professionalism and ethical conduct while representing the Company.

+ Evaluate drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to generate time, cost, and labor estimates for various projects.

+ Contribute to estimates for multi-discipline projects, including scope assessments and precise quantity surveys.

+ Request and assess Subcontractor and/or Vendor quotes for scope and accuracy.

+ Facilitate meetings with Subcontractors to establish comprehensive scopes and discuss strategies.

+ Undertake risk and contract management duties as necessary during bidding processes.

+ Aid in formulating strategies to meet minority participation goals.

+ Review overall estimates to ensure precision and completeness before formal submission.

+ Track and compare estimated costs against actual expenditures.

+ Investigate and advocate for continuous improvement in estimating methodologies.

+ Inspect construction sites and identify any unusual or challenging conditions.

Qualifications:

+ Committed to the profession, dedicated to securing projects, and take pride in the quality of work produced.

+ A minimum of 9 years of experience in electrical estimating is essential.

+ Experience in estimating for rail/mass transit systems (Traction Power, Overhead Catenary, Train Control, Communications) is preferred.

+ Familiarity with highway/ITS/traffic signal, water/wastewater, aviation, maintenance facilities, power, industrial, and other highly technical projects is advantageous.

+ Proven ability to lead individual projects or be an integral part of a team for larger projects.

+ Proficient in Electrical Bid Estimating Software; experience with Accubid is a plus.

+ Demonstrated capability to either lead or collaborate within a team for multiple projects.

+ Competent in using computers with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.

+ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications effectively.

+ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

+ Detail-oriented, technically proficient, and possessing excellent communication skills.

+ Familiar with both conceptual and self-perform estimating.
