Director of Corporate Partnerships

The Johns Hopkins Institute for NanoBioTechnology (INBT) is seeking a highly skilled Director of Corporate Partnerships to develop and execute strategic partnerships with industry leaders. This role will be responsible for promoting general awareness of INBT research and education activities, facilitating new engagements, and maintaining existing partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy to drive growth and innovation.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key industry stakeholders, including CEOs, CTOs, and other senior executives.
- Collaborate with INBT faculty to identify opportunities for sponsored research projects, joint proposal submissions, and other collaborative initiatives.
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing partners, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Develop and execute marketing programs to promote INBT research and education activities to industry partners.
- Work closely with the INBT Grants and Contracts Manager and JHURA/ORA to develop and process agreements necessary for partnerships.
- Coordinate with the Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures office (JHTV) on translational activity and licensing opportunities.
- Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a university or business development setting, with at least 3 years managing staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with industry partners.
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic partnerships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ph.D. in science/engineering, MBA, or JD law.
- Experience in technology transfer-related programs in an academic setting.
- 10+ years of experience in a related field.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $98,800 - $173,300 annually. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
