About the Role
The Johns Hopkins Institute for NanoBioTechnology (INBT) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Corporate Partnerships. This key position will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to foster strong relationships with industry partners, driving innovation and collaboration that benefits both the Institute and its partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to identify, pursue, and maintain partnerships with industry leaders, with a focus on advancing INBT's research and education initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, industry partners, and other relevant parties, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for sponsored research projects, joint proposal submissions, and other collaborative initiatives that align with INBT's goals and objectives.
- Work closely with INBT faculty and staff to develop and implement programs that promote industry-academia partnerships and drive innovation.
- Develop and manage agreements, contracts, and other documents necessary to facilitate partnerships and collaborations.
- Collaborate with the Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures office to identify and pursue opportunities for technology transfer and commercialization.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to INBT's leadership and faculty on industry-related matters.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a university or business development setting, with at least 3 years of management experience.
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic partnerships and collaborations.
- Strong understanding of the academic research process and the industry research and product development process.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in science, engineering, business, or law, with experience in technology transfer and related programs in an academic setting.
- 10+ years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic partnerships and collaborations.
