Your Role in Transforming Lives
The Recovery Support Specialist I plays a crucial role in engaging and motivating individuals served, facilitating impactful discussions that empower them to identify, develop, and achieve their personal recovery objectives.
As a Recovery Support Specialist, you will provide valuable insights to the team, enhancing and promoting Telecare's Recovery Culture as outlined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS). This approach ensures that each individual's perspectives and preferences are acknowledged, valued, and integrated into the services and self-help initiatives we offer.
In addition, Recovery Support Specialists are equipped to handle critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation techniques, ensuring a supportive environment for individuals facing mental health or addiction emergencies.
Available Shifts:
Full Time; AM 8:30 am - 5:00 pm with 24/7 availability for emergency calls; Monday - Friday
Expected starting wage range is $22.52. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges.
The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
Qualifications (Must Have)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Certified Peer Specialist and/or completion of Peer Support Training
- One (1) year or part-time equivalent experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges
- Personal experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system
- Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
- Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
- Willingness to use your personal vehicle to assist clients with transportation to appointments and group sessions.
- Paid Time Off: For Full Time Employees, it is 16.7 days in your first year
- Nine Paid Holidays & Shift differentials for hourly staff (6% for PM Shift, 10% for Overnight Shift). Weekend Shift differentials for hourly staff (5% for Weekend AM Shift, 11% for Weekend PM Shift, 15% for Weekend Overnight Shift)
