Part-Time MRI Patient Support Specialist
Schedule: 1:30pm - 8:00pm, 3 days per week
Role Summary:
The MRI Patient Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the MRI Technologist with the care, safety, and preparation of patients undergoing MRI examinations. This includes thorough screening of all non-MR personnel to ensure safety protocols are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient and transport computer entry.
- Facilitate patient workflow efficiently.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of MRI safety regulations and screening procedures.
- Provide front desk reception support, including greeting patients, checking them in, and reviewing safety questionnaires.
Qualifications:
Required: High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year of prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Desired: BLS/Healthcare certification is required (may be obtained within 90 days of employment). The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism to foster patient confidence, maintain a positive demeanor, and show respect and courtesy towards all individuals. Ability to work independently is essential.
Compensation: $19.00 per hour
