Daily Responsibilities of a Support Specialist:

As a Support Specialist, you will begin each shift prepared to assist individuals in leading their lives as independently as possible. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting daily living activities such as medication administration, meal preparation, personal hygiene, and transportation to appointments.
  • Implementing individual behavioral plans, utilizing effective teaching and mentoring strategies to help individuals acquire new skills and achieve their goals.
  • Encouraging participation in community outings and recreational activities based on individual preferences and behavioral plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation and reporting any health and safety concerns.

Throughout your shifts, you will have the rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of those you support, contributing to their well-being in meaningful ways.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license with eligibility for a Public Passenger Endorsement.
  • Empathy and the ability to recognize the potential in every individual.
  • A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.

Work Schedule:

Our organization operates 24-hour residential group homes, offering various shift options, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
