Personal Support Specialist

Position Overview:
As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support services to individuals in both home and community environments. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of programs, including elder care, mental health support, and assistance for individuals with developmental disabilities or brain injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in meaningful conversations with clients, offering companionship and necessary resources for daily living.
- Develop and maintain a supportive relationship with participants through effective communication.
- Assist individuals in achieving their recovery plan goals through teaching and guidance.
- Provide regular updates to supervisors and agency representatives via daily progress reports.
- Utilize personal or public transportation to accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities as outlined in their recovery plans.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare or direct care roles, or a strong background in customer service.
- Dependable and responsible individuals with a genuine passion for assisting others.
- Possession of reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance.
