Position Overview:

As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support services to individuals in both home and community environments. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of programs, including elderly assistance, mental health support, and in-home care for those with developmental disabilities or brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in meaningful conversations with clients, offering companionship and essential resources for daily living.
  • Establish and nurture a supportive relationship with clients through effective communication.
  • Assist individuals in achieving their recovery plan goals through teaching and guidance.
  • Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and agency representatives by submitting daily progress reports.
  • Utilize personal or public transportation to accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities as outlined in their recovery plans.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare or a strong background in customer service.
  • Dependable and responsible individuals with a genuine passion for assisting others.
  • Access to reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance.
