Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Recovery Coach to join our team at Telecare. As a Peer Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members served to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals.
  • Provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare's Recovery Culture, as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS).
  • Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills, supporting a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Peer Specialist and/or completed Peer Support Training.
  • One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges.
  • Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
  • Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
  • Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

This program is a full service partnership between LA county and Telecare. The program structure mimics our current FSP programs in LA county, in that we are serving high acuity members who struggle with severe to moderate mental health symptoms. This FSP will specialize in justice-involved mental health members.
