Job Overview

Position: Business Development Manager – Renewables & Utilities

Department: Sales and Marketing

Reporting To: Director of Business Development

Location: North America

The Business Development Manager is tasked with identifying organizations and individuals to uncover new business prospects, engaging potential clients, and overseeing client relationships. This role is vital in collaborating with company leaders and marketing teams to analyze current market dynamics and suggest innovative business strategies aimed at enhancing profit margins.


Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation and Sales

  • Cultivate leads, develop relationships, and finalize agreements to broaden the customer base.
  • Establish and uphold a sales pipeline, utilizing data-driven insights to boost conversion rates.

Strategic Partnerships

  • Recognize and negotiate partnerships, alliances, and collaborations that foster business expansion.
  • Build and sustain relationships with essential partners.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Nurture long-lasting customer relationships by delivering outstanding service and support.
  • Address customer inquiries and issues swiftly and professionally.

Management

  • Maintain the CRM database.
  • Assist in providing insights and marketing strategies within the business units.
  • Ensure that all events are equipped with necessary materials and promotional items.
  • Support in registering and preparing for corporate events.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Renewable Energy and Power Generation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven history of achieving business growth and revenue objectives.
  • Leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

The Business Development Manager generally operates in an office setting, though the role may necessitate travel for meetings, client interactions, and industry events. This position frequently involves collaboration with various departments and external partners.
