Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the press operator in setting up, operating, and maintaining flexo presses to produce labels according to customer expectations.
  • Verify job specs and ensure all equipment needed is placed on the set-up cart.
  • Perform press make-ready by removing and loading print cylinders, material, lamination, die, ink, etc.
  • Assist press operators with setting up auxiliary equipment.
  • Empties trash and rag containers as they become full.
  • Gathers label stock from the inventory clerk.
  • Remove finished rolls as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one-year related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in a printing environment is preferred.
  • Some experience in the operation of various hand tools is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

Physical Conditions:

  • Works in a manufacturing environment and will be required to wear foot and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
  • In addition, the employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
