About AppleTree

AppleTree's mission is to bridge the achievement gap prior to students entering kindergarten. We are dedicated to Pre-K education, providing complimentary, full-day public charter school programming for three- and four-year-olds across multiple locations.

Our innovative instructional model, known as Every Child Ready (ECR), equips educators with essential tools and resources for effective teaching and assessment. This model is also utilized by partners nationwide, and we continuously refine it based on feedback from educators and stakeholders to ensure optimal learning experiences for children.

Community Engagement and Student Recruitment (60%)

Act as the primary Family Point of Contact from the admissions application through the audit count day.

Organize and implement at least one recruitment event or activity each month, often scheduled on weekends and evenings.

Maintain documentation of activities and events in Salesforce, providing trend reports to the Recruitment and Enrollment Team.

Create engaging communications such as flyers and posts for outreach initiatives.

Disseminate monthly network-wide content that includes relevant updates, upcoming events, and best practices for parents.

Assist with recruitment communications directed at interested families and applicants, utilizing various channels.

Provide exceptional customer service to prospective students and their families.

Offer support via telephone, email, and in-person interactions for applicant families.

Stay informed about family activities and events that present opportunities to promote AppleTree's mission.

Guide families through the enrollment process and the MSDC lottery.

Manage outreach initiatives aimed at boosting student enrollment, enhancing community partnerships, and presenting families with new opportunities for involvement.

Cultivate external partnerships with local businesses and organizations to strengthen community ties.

School Engagement (30%)

Collaborate with school leaders to plan and support engagement activities that foster a strong school community.

Assist with school tours, information sessions, and open houses.

Coordinate extracurricular activities that promote student recruitment and retention.

Build and nurture relationships with parents, educators, and community members.

Develop and distribute communications to enhance the school's social media presence.

Lead the planning and execution of school events and initiatives.

Organize and coordinate parent volunteers and parent groups.

Family Support (10%)

Work with the Social Work team to identify family needs and available community resources to provide necessary support.

Collaborate with school leadership to enhance the experience of Parent Teacher Conferences.

Assist with home visits and onboarding new families to school values and policies during orientation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.

1-3 years of professional experience in sales, recruitment, customer engagement, or related fields within non-profit, education, or community organizations.

A strong passion for AppleTree's mission and the ability to effectively communicate the value of our programs.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on cultural competency and working with diverse populations.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also managing independent tasks.

Strong organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.

A positive demeanor when engaging with potential families.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google applications, with a willingness to learn new technologies.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive conversations with discretion.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
