Role Overview:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is responsible for supporting daily operations within the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving company objectives. This role involves adhering to iAnthus policies and ensuring compliance with state and local regulations. Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging and educating patients in a welcoming manner
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assisting in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintaining compliance with local and state laws
  • Performing general office tasks, including record-keeping and correspondence
  • Providing timely patient feedback to management
  • Maintaining accurate records such as intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participating in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Delivering compassionate patient service consistently
  • Participating in monthly inventory reviews

Training and Development:

  • Greeting all patients with a helpful and friendly attitude to ensure positive interactions
  • Understanding HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
  • Gaining proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Staying updated on product knowledge and proper dosing
  • Ensuring all team members adhere to company policies and legal regulations
  • Reviewing and updating educational materials for patients
  • Engaging in quarterly team meetings

Sales and Business Development:

  • Reviewing daily sales and best practices with team members to meet goals
  • Training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge
  • Participating in brief meetings to ensure consistent messaging
  • Delivering excellent and compassionate patient service

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license
  • Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with basic math proficiency
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Computer literacy; POS experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including office environments and exposure to different elements

Compensation:

$17 USD per hour, plus cash tips.
