Role Overview

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is responsible for supporting daily operations within the dispensary, being part of a patient-focused team, and fulfilling iAnthus's corporate objectives. The role also involves upholding iAnthus's policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include:

Operations & Compliance
  • Engage with and educate patients in a friendly manner
  • Ensure patient intake documentation is accurate and complete
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain adherence to local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and communication
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding patient experiences
  • Maintain accurate records such as patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in brief team meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Deliver compassionate and exceptional service to patients
  • Participate in monthly inventory assessments
Training & Development
  • Ensure all patients receive a warm and helpful greeting, making every interaction positive.
  • Knowledgeable about HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
  • Proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and appropriate dosages.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to iAnthus policies and local regulations.
  • Review and enhance patient educational materials.
  • Engage in quarterly team meetings.

    Sales & Business Development
  • Analyze daily sales and best practices with team members to meet targets.
  • Trained in patient services, including intake processes and product knowledge.
  • Participate in brief team meetings to ensure consistency in messaging.
  • Provide excellent and compassionate service to patients.
Company Culture
  • Act as an ambassador for the iAnthus brand, representing it appropriately.
  • Build relationships with community leaders and foster trust.
  • Adhere to iAnthus's core values, including respect, diversity, sustainability, and service.
  • Follow iAnthus's cultural principles.
  • Maintain the dispensary's aesthetic in line with the iAnthus brand.

    Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient with computers; POS experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with rotating shifts.
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use a ladder and general tools for basic repairs.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including office environments and exposure to dust and noise.
The compensation for this position is $17/hr plus cash tips.
