Role Overview

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the dispensary, being part of a patient-focused team, and achieving company objectives. The role includes maintaining compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. Responsibilities encompass but are not limited to:

Operations & Compliance
  • Engage and educate patients in a welcoming manner
  • Ensure patient intake forms are complete and accurate
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain adherence to all local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing and record-keeping
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding patient experiences
  • Maintain accurate records such as patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Deliver exceptional and compassionate service to patients
  • Engage in monthly inventory assessments
Training & Development
  • Ensure all patients are greeted with a friendly and compassionate approach, creating a positive experience.
  • Knowledgeable about HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
  • Proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and appropriate dosages.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations among team members.
  • Review and enhance patient educational materials.
  • Participate in quarterly team discussions.

    Sales & Business Development
  • Analyze daily sales and best practices to meet objectives with team members.
  • Trained in patient services, including intake and product knowledge.
  • Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Provide outstanding and compassionate service to patients.

    Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math abilities.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Computer literacy is required; POS experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with rotating shifts.
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout the workday.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use a ladder and general tools for minor repairs.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including exposure to fumes, dust, and noise.
The compensation for this position is $17/hr plus cash tips.
