Role Overview:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is tasked with supporting the daily operations of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and fulfilling iAnthus's corporate objectives. This role involves upholding company policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant state and local regulations. Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with and educating patients in a supportive manner
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assisting in the qualification of patients for our Verified Financial Hardship (VFH) program
  • Maintaining adherence to all local and state regulations
  • Performing general administrative tasks, such as record filing and email communication
  • Providing timely patient feedback to management
  • Maintaining accurate records, including patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participating in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on objectives
  • Delivering compassionate and excellent patient service consistently
  • Participating in monthly inventory assessments

Training and Development:

  • Ensuring all patients receive a warm and helpful greeting, making every interaction a positive experience
  • Staying informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Gaining proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Keeping current on product knowledge and appropriate dosages
  • Ensuring compliance with iAnthus policies and state regulations among team members
  • Updating patient educational materials as necessary
  • Engaging in quarterly team meetings

Sales and Business Development:

  • Reviewing daily sales and best practices with team members to meet goals
  • Training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge
  • Participating in brief meetings to ensure message consistency
  • Delivering exceptional and compassionate patient service

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation
  • Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced, high-transaction environment
  • Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities
  • Computer literacy is essential; POS experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout the workday
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including general office environments and exposure to noise and odors

Compensation:

The pay for this position is $17 per hour, with additional cash tips.
