Role Overview

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager of Retail Operations, plays a crucial role in supporting the daily functions of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving company objectives. This position is also responsible for upholding iAnthus policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant state and local regulations. Key responsibilities include:

Operational Duties
  • Engage with and educate patients in a friendly manner
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing and email correspondence
  • Provide timely patient feedback to management
  • Maintain accurate records such as patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Deliver compassionate and excellent patient service consistently
  • Participate in monthly inventory assessments
Training & Development
  • Ensure every patient is greeted with a friendly and helpful demeanor, creating a positive experience.
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
  • Become proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and proper dosages.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to current policies and regulations.
  • Review and update educational materials for patients.
  • Engage in quarterly team meetings.

    Sales and Business Development
  • Analyze daily sales and share best practices with team members.
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake processes and product knowledge.
  • Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to ensure message consistency.
  • Provide exceptional and compassionate patient service.

    Qualifications and Education
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-transaction setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
  • Computer literacy is required; POS experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and analytical mindset.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with rotating shifts.
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable using a ladder and general tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including exposure to fumes, dust, and noise.
The compensation for this position is $17/hr plus cash tips.
