Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on Accounting.
  • 5 - 7 years of advanced accounting experience.
  • 2 - 3 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, along with Blackline and Oracle/PBCS systems.
  • Advanced understanding of major accounting software for general ledger management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team, tackling complex tasks.
  • Expected to operate with minimal supervision and take ownership of deliverables, collaborating closely with key functional leaders.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to computer screens.
  • Hybrid work schedule required, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
  • Moderate noise levels in the workplace.
  • Job functions typically performed in a climate-controlled office setting.

Role Overview: The Accounting Manager is tasked with establishing and maintaining precise and timely accounting and financial practices, principles, and procedures for budgeting, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, forecasting, and financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of accounting professionals to develop and manage accounting systems, practices, and controls that adhere to acceptable accounting processes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Contribute accounting insights and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews to achieve accounting objectives.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial data.
  • Collaborate with other finance department leaders to support overall departmental goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental workflows to enhance efficiency while maintaining high accuracy levels.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to improve departmental workflow.
  • Establish internal controls to maintain financial security.
  • Provide training for new and existing staff as necessary.
  • Analyze complex financial reports and records.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure consistent compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
