About the Role

MSB Resources is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the management of our affordable housing portfolio. As a senior member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of Regional Managers and Property Managers, ensuring maximum operational and financial performance results are achieved across our properties.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, with experience in leading multi-site operations and managing teams. They will be responsible for implementing annual plans, operational initiatives, and strategies to support our client's growth and income goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead a team of Regional Managers and Property Managers to achieve maximum operational and financial performance results.
    • Implement annual plans, operational initiatives, and strategies to support our client's growth and income goals.
  • Team Development
    • Assign duties and responsibilities to team members and provide mentoring and career guidance.
    • Build on the success of our regional and property teams by promoting collaboration, communication, and a culture of excellence.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Implement operating systems that ensure high-quality day-to-day management services, efficiency, consistency, and innovation across the portfolio.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of our operating systems and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage expenses and revenue within budgets, ensuring maximum financial performance results.
    • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Communication and Representation
    • Represent MSB Resources and our developments to key stakeholders, including government officials, lenders, investors, community leaders, and other strategic partners.
    • Communicate effectively with our team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and maximum results.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of increasing property management responsibility, including multi-site operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of affordable and market-rate housing, with advanced industry training credentials.
  • Excellent financial acumen, with the ability to understand basic financial statements and manage expenses and revenue within budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing and leasing, with a strong track record of success.
  • Ability to lead, direct, and motivate others to innovate and excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse group of associates, residents, and external agencies.
  • Ability to apply reason, logic, and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex and/or sensitive issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly master new applications.
