Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager of Product Marketing will spearhead the product development lifecycle across various categories, guiding initiatives from initial concept through to market launch. The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative mindset, a passion for building relationships with colleagues and consumers alike, and a strong sense of accountability and ambition to exceed expectations.

As we continue to broaden our portfolio in body care, we have successfully introduced several new products that have quickly gained popularity and consumer loyalty, such as our best-selling Vanilla Cashmere body lotion and trending shave cream. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative brand that is experiencing significant growth and has a dedicated consumer base.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning for Innovation:

  • Collaborate to develop a comprehensive three-year innovation strategy.
  • Refine brand vision, positioning, and portfolio strategy.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and consumer trends to guide strategic decisions.
  • Evaluate category performance over time and provide recommendations for optimization.

Expertise in Product Marketing & Innovation:

  • Create innovative and impactful product concepts and positioning that drive brand growth.
  • Manage product-level financials to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Oversee the complete product development process, from concept and briefing to initial production, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Direct the briefing and assessment of formulas, fragrances, packaging, and design elements for launches.
  • Supervise the development, routing, and approval of mechanical artwork within established timelines.
  • Proactively identify challenges, escalate issues, and devise solutions to complex problems to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Develop strategic product toolkits for internal stakeholders to facilitate product launches.
  • Assess and analyze product launch outcomes to identify future opportunities.
  • Organize and evaluate proprietary and competitive product formula and fragrance submissions based on aesthetics, delivery systems, pricing, performance, claims, and benefits.

Consumer Insights & Market Trends:

  • Maintain a consumer-centric approach and utilize research to understand attitudes and usage across various demographics and categories, identifying opportunities for new product ideas and positioning.
  • Conduct industry and category-specific trend analysis to stay informed about relevant opportunities in product, design, and implementation.
  • Execute consumer research (both quantitative and qualitative) to inform decisions throughout the product development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in brand development or product management, preferably within the beauty or consumer packaged goods sectors.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining high-quality standards to achieve results.
  • A creative problem-solver who is curious and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
