Your Role

The Product Marketing team at Whistle aims to effectively deliver our offerings to the appropriate audience with the right messaging. We are dedicated to utilizing our products to reflect customer insights and drive strategic innovation by leveraging our deep understanding of market needs into product opportunities.

We are in search of a seasoned Product Marketing leader with expertise in go-to-market strategies and a proven history of leading cross-sell, upsell, and customer marketing initiatives to enhance our benefits portfolio.

As a Senior Manager on the Product Marketing team, you will work closely with our Benefits product team to launch new offerings, features, and services to both potential and existing clients. Your responsibilities will include spearheading go-to-market strategies for Benefits products and features at various stages of development across multiple platforms, while building relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in identifying product-market fit, defining target personas, and crafting initial messaging and positioning to communicate our value effectively. Additionally, you will lay the groundwork for increasing benefits adoption through customer marketing strategies, including product-led cross-sell and upsell initiatives and sales support. This position is ideal for a Product Marketer who is eager to understand complex products and convey them to diverse audiences.

In this capacity, you will also be a key member of the Product Marketing leadership team, helping to shape and grow the function as it evolves. You will oversee and enhance essential Product Marketing processes and operations across various departments and product lines, improving the team's capabilities and best practices, defining the vision and objectives for the team, and ensuring that customer and market insights inform all our actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-performing teams of Product Marketing Managers across various product domains, mentoring them to develop their skills and fostering a culture of psychological safety and belonging.
  • Guide your team in implementing go-to-market strategies that drive ongoing product and feature adoption, revenue growth, and customer retention.
  • Collaborate with Product leadership to shape the product strategy and priorities for your domains.
  • Utilize market insights to develop comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to specific buyer segments.
  • Align Product Marketing initiatives with the overall business objectives, bridging the gap between corporate strategy and product strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to create unique value propositions for our customers and drive product-led growth through strategic recommendations.
  • Assist in managing the overall processes and operations of the Product Marketing department in partnership with the director of Product Marketing and cross-functional teams.
  • Encourage your team to be strong advocates for the customer, leveraging insights to influence product direction and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop impactful go-to-market product launch strategies in collaboration with marketing, product management, and revenue enablement teams.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Support, and Marketing teams to identify key cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Direct your team in setting, measuring, and reporting on Product and Marketing KPIs that align with Whistle's overall strategy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Success Factors

In any Product Marketing role, the approach to achieving results is critical for both individual and organizational success. Your foundational knowledge, skills, and personal attributes should include:

  • Customer Focus - Build strong relationships with customers and provide solutions that prioritize their needs.
  • Teamwork and Communication - Collaborate effectively through documentation, relationship-building, and advocacy.
  • Nimble Learning - Embrace experimentation and learn from both successes and setbacks.
  • Results-Driven - Consistently deliver results, even in challenging situations.
  • Strategic Mindset - Anticipate future trends and articulate credible scenarios that generate lasting value.

At Whistle, we value diversity and strive to create an inclusive work environment where all identities, cultures, and experiences are celebrated and respected. Our commitment to diversity fosters creativity, innovation, and collaboration across our organization.
