Position Overview

The Complex BT Sales Manager at StepStone Hospitality Inc. is a pivotal role that requires a proactive and skilled individual to drive business travel sales for our managed hotels. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organizational and communication abilities, along with a proven track record in hospitality sales.

Key Responsibilities

The Complex BT Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and pursuing new and existing business accounts to achieve and surpass revenue targets through various outreach methods including calls, emails, and site visits.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on active selling and adhering to prospecting activity benchmarks.
  • Securing new business travel accounts on both a national and local scale.
  • Collaborating with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of business.
  • Formulating and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize revenue, while developing new client relationships and nurturing existing ones.
  • Providing accurate rate quotes and availability to clients, while coordinating with revenue management for optimal pricing strategies.
  • Communicating effectively across all hotel departments and demonstrating the ability to work autonomously.
  • Assisting in various tasks as directed by the General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Engaging with local vendors to facilitate successful events.
  • Documenting all sales activities within the Amadeus Sales and Catering software system.
  • Utilizing Delphi FDC and Profit Sword systems as needed.
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A self-starter attitude with 2-3 years of business travel management experience in large chain hotels.
  • Proficiency in Delphi FDC, Lanyon, and Opera systems.
  • Familiarity with IHG Merlin, IHG Way of Sales, and IHG BT systems.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Office, and web browsers.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative, perseverance, and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • A commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
