Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a Business Planning Manager to define and steer our EPYC Datacenter CPU business strategy. This role is part of the Cloud Business Group, a cohesive team of experienced professionals dedicated to advancing AMD's Datacenter Strategy and business development initiatives within the Cloud Segment. The success of our Cloud Group hinges on ownership and delivering results in the rapidly expanding server market, working closely with stakeholders across product management, finance, and operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The perfect candidate will be a self-motivated, high-performing individual with a solid background in the datacenter server market and proven experience in business planning and strategy development. A strong interest or experience in managing product and technology businesses is equally important. Key attributes for success in our dynamic environment include:

  • Relationship Building: Capacity to forge connections with strategic customers and partners to ensure AMD's enterprise products meet the evolving market demands.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to engage a team of operations, finance, and business development professionals to achieve outstanding business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and align market and business trends through collaboration with customers and external entities.
  • Develop and maintain insights on market segmentation, sizing, and profit pools.
  • Identify and understand unique growth opportunities across segments, workloads, and adjacent markets.
  • Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives across the server business unit in collaboration with business unit teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience in business planning.
  • Familiarity with the modern server market and ecosystem.
  • Understanding of financial and pricing strategies for various business deal structures.
